How amazing is the cell phone we all use everyday? It allows is to talk to someone anywhere on the whole planet from just about anywhere and with all the functions that are on them today, what can’t they do. Seems like everyday a new phone is released with another added feature and we then wonder how we ever lived without that feature.
In general, a cell phone can store your contact information, make to-do lists, wake you in the morning, ring with your chosen tune, call someone and receive and incoming call, calculate that troublesome math question and put your appointments on a calendar so that you won’t forget them.
Some can get news online and some even do emails and those with the Internet capability will give you games to play, TV shows to watch and integrate other little goodies like MP3 players, GPS and PDAs. But do you know what the absolute basic part of a cell phone is? A radio, an extremely sophisticated one for sure, but a radio at the core. Nikolai Tesla invented the radio way back in the 1880s which was introduced by Guglielmo Marconi, a young Italian in 1894.
